The Usher Ministry is a ministry of service, hospitality, and order. Ushers help create an atmosphere where members and visitors can worship comfortably, confidently, and without unnecessary distractions.
Ushers serve as servant-leaders at the doors and throughout the worship experience, demonstrating kindness, attentiveness, and respect to everyone who enters the church.
What Ushers Do:
- Welcome and assist members and visitors as they enter.
- Help people find appropriate seating.
- Distribute programs, bulletins, communion elements, or other materials.
- Assist with seating and movement during worship services.
- Help maintain order and minimize distractions.
- Assist with offerings and other worship-related activities.
- Be attentive to the needs of children, families, seniors, and guests.
- Assist with emergencies or unexpected situations when necessary.
- Help communicate important instructions to the congregation.
- Work closely with pastors, leaders, and other ministry teams.
- Help create a safe, organized, and welcoming worship environment.
